Cases Handled by the Commission

As at 2023, the commission has been involved in representing Indigent persons in about 60 cases in court, out of which 50 cases have been successfully concluded with some of the defendants discharged and acquitted. These cases bother on armed robbery, rape, culpable homicide punishable with death, illegal possession of Fire Arms and Narcotics.

The office has also received over 100 complaints/petitions out of which 70% have been successfully resolved through Alternative Dispute Resolution. These include matters such as domestic/family Dispute as well as employers/ employees dispute.
