About The DG
Musa Onogo Idris is the Director General of the Office of Public Defender and Citizens’ Rights Commission. He began his educational pursuit in Okene, Kogi State after which he proceeded to Federal College of Education, Katsina where he obtained his Nigeria Certificate in Education (NCE).
Thereafter, he worked briefly with Federal Capital Territory, Abuja for period of two years before proceeding to study Law at Bayero University, Kano in the year 1993/1994. He was then called to BAR in the year 2001 and served with the then Intercity Bank for the period of 10 years, after which he left banking industry and joined Ajaokuta Steel Company in year 2014, where he worked for 3 years before joining the service of Kogi State Government in the year 2017 as an Assistant Director and got promoted to the rank of Deputy Director in the year 2022.
He was then appointed as the Director General of the office of Public Defender and Citizens’ Rights Commission in the year 2024.
